65-Day Academy · Day 14 · Reading Charts
The Full Chart Read — Structure, Volume, Level
The professional order
A complete read always runs the same sequence: (1) TREND/structure on the higher timeframe (HH/HL or LH/LL?); (2) LOCATION — where is price relative to the nearest zone (fresh support/resistance, extension)?; (3) PARTICIPATION — does volume confirm the recent candles?; (4) TRIGGER — which specific candle/level would confirm entry, and where is the structural invalidation (stop)?
Why the order matters
Most bad trades skip a step: a perfect trigger at terrible location (chasing), a great level with no participation (dead zone), a valid setup with no defined invalidation (gambling). The sequence forces every trade to answer "why here, why now, and why am I wrong?" before money moves.
This checkpoint
The exercise below gives you a mini-chart scenario. Run the four steps explicitly in your rationale: structure → location → volume → trigger/stop. The grading looks for whether your reasoning touches the actual drivers.
What you'll practise
Run the full read on this scenario: what is the disciplined action?
